- Elon Musk is bringing one of his controversial 2024 campaign tactics to Wisconsin.
- His super PAC is offering $100 to voters in the state to sign a petition opposing “activist judges.”
- Musk has spent millions on the Wisconsin Supreme Court race, which is set for April 1.
If you’re a registered voter in Wisconsin, you’re eligible to get $100 from Elon Musk.
All you have to do is sign a petition opposing “activist judges” sponsored by the billionaire businessman’s super PAC, America PAC. You can also get another $100 for referring someone else to sign the petition.
It’s a revival of a controversial tactic that Musk deployed during the late months of the 2024 presidential election when he offered $100 to voters — and entered them into a lottery to win $1 million — if they signed a petition in support of free speech. It comes ahead of a high-stakes campaign for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court on April 1.
“Judges should interpret laws as written, not rewrite them to fit their personal or political agendas,” the petition reads. “By signing below, I’m rejecting the actions of activist judges who impose their own views and demanding a judiciary that respects its role — interpreting, not legislating.”

Musk’s super PAC has spent about $6.6 million in the race so far, which pits Republican Judge Brad Schimel against Democratic Judge Susan Crawford.
It’s the first major statewide campaign since President Donald Trump won the 2024 election, and both parties view the race as a key demonstration of their respective bases’ enthusiasm 3 months into Trump’s second presidency.
The petition is also a nod to recent GOP criticism of judges across the country who have halted some of the Trump administration’s early actions, including the firing of probationary federal workers.
A spokesperson for America PAC declined to comment further on the petition.
